By accessing and using Tislim, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service. These terms apply to all users, including buyers, sellers, and visitors.
2. Account Registration
To use certain features of Tislim, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
3. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
- Engage in money laundering or terrorist financing
- Interfere with platform operations or security
- Harvest user data without consent
4. Payments and Fees
All transactions on Tislim are processed through our secure escrow system. Sellers pay a commission on successful sales. Currency conversion fees may apply for international transactions. All fees are clearly disclosed before you complete any transaction.
5. Limitation of Liability
Tislim provides the platform and services “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid to us in the past 12 months.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of The Gambia. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Banjul, or you may bring claims in your local small claims court if eligible.
Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information: name, email, phone number, business details
- Identity verification: government ID, business licenses, address proof
- Transaction data: orders, payments, shipping information
- Communications: messages between buyers and sellers
- Device information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers

- Process transactions and facilitate trade
- Verify identity and prevent fraud
- Provide customer support
- Send transactional communications
- Improve our platform and services

3. Information Sharing
We share your information with:
- Other users: transaction partners see relevant order details
- Service providers: payment processors, logistics partners, verification services
- Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect rights
We never sell your personal information to third parties for advertising.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: update inaccurate information
- Deletion: request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements)
- Portability: receive your data in a portable format
- Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit, secure data centers, regular security reviews, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. Transaction records are kept for 7 years. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

We align our data practices with major data-protection regimes, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and we follow PCI-DSS standards for handling payment-card data.
2. Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
Tislim implements robust AML procedures including:
- Know Your Customer (KYC) / business (KYB) verification for all sellers
- Transaction monitoring for suspicious activity
- Reporting to relevant authorities when required
- Sanctions screening against global watchlists
3. Prohibited items
The following items are strictly prohibited on Tislim:
- Weapons, explosives, and military equipment
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Counterfeit or stolen goods
- Human-trafficking-related items
- Items violating intellectual property rights
- Sanctioned goods and embargo violations
4. Reporting violations
If you encounter any compliance violations or suspicious activity, please report it through our Help Center or email compliance@tislim.com. All reports are investigated confidentially.
Trade Regulations

1. Export controls
Certain items require export licenses or are restricted to specific countries. Sellers are responsible for:
- Obtaining necessary export documentation
- Verifying buyer eligibility for controlled items
- Complying with dual-use goods regulations
- Accurate customs declarations
2. Import requirements
Buyers are responsible for understanding import requirements in their country:
- Import licenses and permits
- Customs duties and taxes
- Product certifications and standards
- Quarantine and inspection requirements
3. Sanctions and embargoes
Tislim complies with international sanctions including:
- UN Security Council sanctions
- US OFAC sanctions
- EU restrictive measures
- National sanctions programs
Transactions involving sanctioned entities or countries are prohibited and will be blocked.

3. Visual accommodations
- Color contrast: we target a minimum 4.5:1 ratio for text
- No color dependency: information is not conveyed by color alone
