Know your Incoterms
Incoterms decide who pays for, and who bears the risk on, each leg of the journey. Every Tislim quote states the term up front.
The supplier delivers the goods onto the vessel at the origin port. You arrange and pay the main freight, insurance, and import clearance from there.
The supplier covers freight and marine insurance to the destination port. You handle import duties and onward delivery.
The supplier delivers to your address with all freight, insurance, and import duties paid, the most hands-off option for the buyer.
Track every shipment
Each order carries a milestone timeline, booked, departed, in transit, arrived, cleared, delivered, updated as the supplier and logistics partner progress it. Watch it under Account → Orders.
Cargo insurance
All-risk marine and air cargo cover is available on every order (and built in under CIF / DDP), protecting against loss, damage, and theft in transit, with claims handled alongside escrow.
Shipping FAQ
How is freight cost calculated?+
By mode (sea / air / road), lane, and either container count (FCL) or volumetric weight (LCL / air), plus the Incoterm you choose. Every quote shows the full landed cost, freight, insurance, and duty included, before you commit.
What if cargo arrives damaged or short?+
Because every order is escrow-backed, funds are only released once you confirm the goods. Document the issue on arrival (photos, survey); Tislim works with the supplier, carrier, and insurer to resolve it through replacement, partial release, or refund.
Who handles customs and duties?+
It depends on the Incoterm. Under DDP the supplier clears customs and pays duty; under FOB / CIF you do. Either way the quote states the landed cost so there are no surprises at the border.
Can I consolidate orders from multiple suppliers?+
Yes, consolidation into a single container is supported on many corridors and is the most economical option for mixed sourcing. Raise it in your RFQ and suppliers will quote accordingly.
